Close protection, military & counter terrorism training

THE RISK

For many years colleagues of ours in the close protection industry and military have said to us that what is urgently needed whilst transporting their clients and personnel is the ability to carry out an emergency vehicle rescue immediately following a vehicle incident whether it is vehicle accident or a deliberate attack on their vehicle or convoy.

In many countries around the world the risks of a vehicle incident are very real and there is likely that there will be no local emergency service which is going to come to your rescue. If you are lucky to get a local response it is likely to be extremely delayed in getting to you and will be carrying vehicle rescue equipment which is not capable of carrying out a rescue from a modern or armoured vehicle.

All of these factors greatly reduce the chances of survival following a vehicle incident when time is of the essence. After all you cannot effectively treat a casualty unless you can get them out of the vehicle.

IRRTC have some of the most experienced rescue and medical practitioners in the world and this experience is used to assess, develop and deliver bespoke solutions as required by you.

At IRRTC we have developed bespoke industry packages which can be delivered to close protection teams, military and counter terrorism teams in order to safely and effectively rescue themselves, clients and colleagues in the event of a road traffic collision or attack on a vehicle or convoy.

Personal and portable rescue

For many years it was only possible to have a sufficient rescue /access capability if you had a large hydraulic generator, hydraulic hoses and large heavy rescue tools.

However, advancements in hydraulic tool design and the advances in battery technology now mean that it is possible to produce tools capable of in excess of 50 tonnes of cutting and spreading forces that can now be combined into smaller and lighter tools without the need for generators or hoses.

If your requirements mean that you need silent but powerful tools for the purposes of gaining access or removal of obstacles then hand operated tools are also now available to you which are lightweight and extremely versatile.

As a result it is now possible to have a state of the art capability in the boot of your car (or backpack) which will allow you to have an immediate rescue/access intervention on the scene of any incident.

There is now a wide range of rescue tools which will enhance any rescue operations in the most remote or under developed locations in the world which will greatly increase survivability rates by allowing for a rapid rescue no matter what the environment.

In addition, this has led us IRRTC to develop a rapid response rescue kit (see image) which can be carried in any vehicle to allow immediate vehicle rescue anytime and anywhere!

Military and counter terrorism teams can also use these versatile tools to assist them in a wide range of situations for their operations in addition to Vehicle rescue and extrication.

Security and close protection organisations will be able to reassure their clients that in the event of any emergency that their personnel are capable and proficient to carry out ‘immediate’ vehicle rescue and medical interventions to greatly improve survivability rates following any incident.
