COURSE DESCRIPTION
Major rail incidents whilst infrequent do occur around the world and often lead to a large loss of life and are very challenging to emergency responders so it is imperative that they prepared and ready for when they do occur.
IRRTC recognise that this area of ‘specialist rescue training’ is often overlooked by rescue services and this is predominantly because there are very limited locations globally where meaningful and realistic training is available or the expertise of instructors to deliver this training.
At IRRTC we have the ability to not only deliver this training here in the UK with a full-size train derailment at one of our training sites but also provide very experienced instructors to deliver in-country (should the facilities be available).
In addition, we offer excellent accredited prehospital trauma training which is essential for any rescue situation to preserve life on scene until casualties can be removed and taken to definitive medical care as evidence has shown casualties in these incidents often entrapped for prolonged periods of time.
